ANSWER THE QUESTIONS BELOW AS A COUNSELOR

1. You enter into an individual’s home and upon entry you notices; roaches crawling on the
ceiling, walls, floor, and sofa. In addition, you notice several mice running back and forth
from the living room to the kitchen. This individual is on your caseload? What would you
do?

2. A parent calls you stating, “Mike is talking about killing himself because he does not
want to go to school“. She stated that he ran out of the home and doesn’t know where he
is. Mike, your client, has never spoken of suicide in your sessions, but had one attempt a
year ago prior to school beginning. Tell me how you would handle this?

3. You arrive at a home and the individual’s parent will not allow you in the home. She
refuses to allow you in her home and begins to curse you and stated, “I don’t want you I my
d@#&! house no more!” What would be your response? Why?
