The Haitian Revolution analyzed from the historical perspective of class. As you investigate your chosen event, evaluate how a class-based analysis does or does not change the traditional narrative of that event. Create a 15-20 minute presentation of your class-based analysis of this historical event that could be delivered in an advanced placement or community college U.S. history classroom. Your presentation must include:

  1. A PowerPoint presentation containing a minimum of eight slides. Include a title slide and reference slide in addition to your content slides. The title slide and reference slide do not count towards the minimum slide count.
  2. Scripted lecture notes that accompany your PowerPoint slides. Be detailed in your notes and include in-text citations. Your lecture notes should be written in the notes section of each PowerPoint slide.
  3. Include a minimum of three fully referenced sources for your information. Sources may include primary-source images incorporated into the PowerPoint presentation.

While Turabian style is not required for the body of this assignment, solid academic writing is expected, and documentation of sources should be presented using Turabian formatting guidelines, which can be found in the Turabian Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center.
