The Color of Water is an extremely complex memoir; one that could very easily consume an entire semester course with its multiple speakers and relevant themes. This presentation will ask each of you to explore this memoir in a thoughtful way. You will need to choose one of the themes we have been studying and look at that theme from both points of view-Ruth’s and James’. Working with the book, as well your charts, you must come up with your own originallanguage thesis statement and evidence from the reading to prove your thesis is valid and create a Google slide presentation of around 4-5 slides. You will be assessed on several components including the following:1. Your analysis of the theme and point of views.2. The depth and thoughtfulness with which you address topic.3. Your ability to connect the question and your discussion logically to greater historical, political, social, and philosophical concepts.Themes: Abuse, Achievement/Ambition, Safety/Stability, or Racial/Cultural Heritage
