INTRODUCTION: ~30 SECONDS
START YOUR SPEECH HERE!

Attention Getter: This is the longest part of the introduction. This could be a story (personal, hypothetical, or factual), a quote that is related to the topic, startling statistics or data, or a theatrical performance. Make sure your attention getter is relatable to your audience in some way.

Thesis Statement: A sentence that summarizes the content of the speech. (“There are three life lessons I have learned that I will share with you all today.”

Preview Statement: Discuss the 3 main points that you will be going over in your speech. (“First, I will discuss [
insert first life lesson here], secondly, [
insert second life lesson here], and lastly, [
insert third life lesson here].”)

BODY: 4 TO 5 MINUTES TOTAL

Main Point Number 1 (Life Lesson #1:
label your life lesson)

Sub-point #1: This is where you share your story that pertains to your first life lesson.

Sub-point #2: This is where you tell us what you learned from that experience and why it was important for you to learn this lesson.
