  2. What is the party’s official state platform and how do they attempt to achieve it (2-3 paragraphs):

    3. Are there special benefits given to members?
  3. Explain the history of the party in Texas (2-3 paragraphs)
    1. When and why formed
    2. Development of the party over time- key accomplishments, major changes in platform, expansion of group, etc.
  4. Look at a current or recent issue of the party platform (1-2 paragraphs) ):
    1. Describe the specifics of the legislative action on the issue you are evaluating,
    2. Were they successful in achieving their goals?
  5. Conclusion (1 paragraph)- quick comment on what you think of the party
  6. Works Cited page (not included in page requirement)
