After reading the case Mittal’s Hostile Acquisition of Arcelor on p. 563-566  in your textbook, write a 6-8-page essay (not including the cover page and references) in which you address the following items and questions:

1. What is the core value proposition that Mittal Steel believes justifies this large, complex, hostile acquisition? Will it be worth it? To whom?

2. What are the public arguments and possible private reasons that Arcelor opposes the combination

3. Arcelor’s defensive actions were extensive. Detail the theory and execution of the multitude of defensive tactics used by Arcelor.
