In Week 8, you must submit a formal research paper (10-15 pages), which will be worth 45% of your course grade. Your paper needs to analyze the jury selection process and its relationship to both: (a) Constitutional law, and (b) an allied field (e.g., education, history, law enforcement, public administration, public policy, psychology, sociology, technology, etc.).  By definition then, you will be required to address the Sixth Amendment to the United States Constitution, which guarantees a defendant the right to a trial by a fair and impartial jury.

For this assignment, due week 5

Submit a literature review of your completed research for your jury selection research paper.

Your literature review should be well-organized and easy to follow. You MUST offer a critical review of at least 4 articles (scholarly, peer-reviewed articles, or government publications).

Please cite in Bluebook format.

Remember, this submission is not simply a list of articles that you located. Review the APUS sample provided in the APUS Literature Review guide.

Finally, your paper must not simply be a reiteration of articles that you locate. Rather, your goal is to “provide context for your own research.”
