You will select a topic related to a certain issue the United States is currently dealing with that relates in some way to fraud and financial crime. MONEY LAUNDERING issues in the United States IS THE TOPIC   The presentation should focus on the current controversies surrounding the specific topic issue you selected.  Let’s say you find articles and research on how college students using credit cards in the U.S. are being targeted by Russian hackers. Your job would be to prepare a brief with the intention of having a person with a decision-making role, walk into your presentation not knowing anything on thistopic, but leaving feeling confident he or she knew enough to formulate some sort of plan to begin actions to address the problem.

Why is it important for a soon-to-be-graduating college student to gain experience with a short, succinct “get to the point quickly” presentation, as opposed to the more fully developed presentations you might be more experienced with in college? Because your boss or the decision maker in your agency/company has little time (and usually little attention span) to listen to you, especially if you don’t immediately dive into the issue and explain why he or she needs to hear what you have to say.  In these situations, as well

as for this assignment, remember that you have knowledge on the issue that the boss/decision maker does not have, but needs, and you have been selected by someone to be the one to convince/inform that boss/decision maker. So – let your knowing more than the audience (and your boss) give you confidence to show your stuff. Confidence sells.
