Thinking ahead to your end of life, describe the situation you envision for yourself and what you need to do now to get there. Review both sides of Erikson’s Integrity vs. Despair and imagine you had not fulfilled the purpose God had for you. How would that change things in your life?

Choose one of the following situations, providing insight into psychosocial, physical, emotional, and spiritual areas for consideration:

· A client is experiencing distress related to being in the stage of despair. How would you approach them?

· When talking with a younger client headed into despair, how might you improve their prognosis toward integrity?
