You may have already identified an initiative related to student outcomes in a prior
course, and if it aligns well you can certainly use it again for this assessment. Take a
moment and identify an initiative that is aligned well with a focus on improving student
outcomes.

For the first deliverable, you will describe the details of the initiative relevant to
improving student outcomes, and then you will share your rationale noting how
Instructional Coaching could help teachers that are supporting students at the heart of
the initiative. You will then review the data that identifies the students of greatest need,
and subsequently identify which teachers support those students; thus, coaching could
help teachers employ strategies specific to addressing the student need.

Areas critical to this deliverable are:

● A detailed explanation of the school-based initiative related to improving student
outcomes

● Developed rationale that communicates the benefits Instructional Coaching could
provide

● Description of how specific teachers could be identified as participants to participate
in the Instructional Coaching process

● Citations from the professional literature to support your assertions and insights
