Case Study of Successful PLCs

Think of a PLC that you were involved in this past year. Use the PLC Case Study Scoring Guide (available in Files in the CANVAS classroom and below) to guide your reflection of the PLC observation.

The Case Study must include the following components:

  1. Description of the school setting of the PLC
  2. Description of the PLC (number of members, content area, etc.)
  3. Detailed narrative description of the PLC’s work.

Address these points in the Case Study:

  1. Which (if any) of DuFour’s guiding questions were addressed during the PLC observation? Provide a full description in your responses.
  2. What were the strengths of the PLC group?
  3. If noted, describe any weaknesses.
  4. What best practices did you observe?
