Working with Partners
Knowing and understanding your target population is crucial to having an effective public health intervention. There are many ways to get to know your target population. One way that is common in public health is to acknowledge and form partnerships with other agencies that have similar goals and objectives as your program. The involvement of other agencies provides more insight into the health issue and the population.
Respond to the following:
-
Discuss your experience thus far as it relates to the target population as well as current and potential partnerships (benefits of partnership specific to the practicum project). If you are not working directly with the target population or partnerships, then discuss the importance of partnerships in providing services to the target population.
Write your initial response in approximately 300 words. Apply APA standards to citation of reference sources.
By the due date assigned, post your response to this Discussion Area. Through the end of the week, review and comment on at least two peers’ responses
