Write a clear, and well-drafted essay examining the causes of unemployment in the united states.Use the following thesis as a guide on what you are writing: In today’s society, unemployment is a trivial matter that is a constant topic of debate where citizens ponder its causes and endure through the ever-changing employment landscape. Through research I have pinpointed the root causes of unemployment in the United States and accessed the negative consequences these factors have created for citizens struggling to find employment by examining cyclical and structural unemployment, specific demographics and the labor force’s participation rate, education and training programs, and long term unemployment the causes become more apparent. 

Support your assertions with specific examples and remember to EXPLAIN the examples. Your essay should be comprised of an intro, 4 body paragraphs, a counter-argument, and a conclusion. Make sure you use transitions between paragraphs and ideas. Your paper should be 1600 words.

You must use at least four direct quotations (but no more than seven) and have at least four different reliable sources (but no more than six), cited with proper parenthetical citations and a works cited page. YOUR SOURCES ARE ATTACHTED BELOW. Remember to cite all sources correctly! Also, remember that a quotation must never stand alone; it must always be part of your own sentence.
