This unit addresses technology integration needs and practices specific to various disciplinary content areas. The chapter has the following structure:

Review of issues in the field—These issues shape the ways technology can be (or required to be) used.

Technology integration strategies and resources—These are strategies being used to address instructional needs for the area, and are given along with example lesson ideas for these strategies.

·
Recommendations for teacher growth in technological knowledge—These focus on how teachers may continue to grow in their understanding of issues and integration strategies for the content area and include a rubric for self-assessment.

You should select one discipline that is of interest to your future teaching career.

Your Final Assignment will focus on Chapter 5, Unit.
