3-1 Discussion: Creative Works and Critical ThinkingCreative works generally have a theme or are focused on a particular topic. Often the goal of the artist or creator is to get the audience/viewer to think about the topic being addressed in the creative work in a new way or with a broadened perspective. In this assignment, you will have a chance to analyze the theme of a creative work and explore how it enhances critical thinking.

Create one initial post and respond to at least two of your classmates.

Discussing creative works while using critical thinking often means investigating opinions and ideas different from your own. Remember to remain thoughtful and respectful toward your peers and instructor in your initial post as well as in your response discussion posts.

For your initial post, address the following:

  1. Identify the creative work you have chosen. This can be one of the creative works you selected for your project proposal, or it can be a different work.
    1. Be sure to cite the work according to APA citation guidelines.
  2. Describe the themes or topics the creative work addresses.
    1. What are the main themes or topics?
    2. How does the work communicate that these are the themes or topics?
