Your paper will be covering the Pathophysiology of the disease process, which includes:

  • etiology,
  • pathogenesis,
  • clinical manifestations,
  • how the disease is diagnosed,
  • current treatments, including drugs (brand name or generic)
  • contraindications or possible side effects of those drugs,
  • expected outcomes for the patient.
  • You will need a minimum of three (3) scholarly references to support the information in your paper! Scholarly typically means peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, educational videos, etc. No Wikipedia… no WebMD types of websites!
  • Your paper needs to be written in APA formatting throughout, which includes:
  • a title page,
  • an introduction,
  • body of the paper,
  • a conclusion
  • a reference page.
  • In-text citations and your reference page should also follow APA formatting.
  • Your paper should be double-spaced using a 12-point font and will usually be in the 6-12 page range. There is no page minimum, but to cover everything thoroughly, you will need a sufficient number of pages.
