Analysis of Consumer Marketing Research: The Puget Sound Partnership

Read and analyze “A Sound Approach for the Sound: Puget Partnership (PSP)” in your textbook, pp. 188-190, then discuss the following questions in a 3 page APA-formatted paper:

1. Could this research have been done only with focus groups? Why? Explain the advantages and limitations of using focus groups exclusively for this study.

2. Was the quantitative study necessary? Discuss how quantitative data complemented or contrasted with qualitative insights from the focus groups.

3. Since no statistical differences were found regarding the effect of location or intervention, was the research a failure? Justify your answer by discussing the implications of non-significant results.

4. If you were an executive with the PSP, would you recommend any further research? If so, what? If so, specify the type of research and the objectives it should aim to achieve.
